  • Answer: In the past clients would rely on a domestic warehouse in the USA or Europe, who would send goods to various retailer warehousing hubs, which then get sent to outlets, and finally consumers. Every different set of hands involved in this process is considered a “touch,” each of which increases costs. 

• Question: How is The COOW any different?
  • Answer: We cut out the number of “touches” on a shipment, eliminating unnecessary costs.

• Question: How does this work?
  • Answer: The factory ships directly to our Shanghai or Shenzhen COOW, which combine bonded land and international port capabilities. From here The COOW combines a number of functions traditionally performed by warehouses in the west—such as vendor compliance and country of origin labelling. We take inputs from many factories, consolidate outputs, and ship to multiple global distributors. By shipping to the ultimate recipient first, we avoid domestic warehousing costs in the West.

• Question: How does The COOW protect our property?
  • Answer: Upon receipt, The COOW becomes the new exporter of record, shielding the factory's location and pricing from your FOB clients. To prevent product piracy goods are manufactured by one entity, packaging by another, and assembly all takes place in the security of The COOW.

• Question: How does The COOW produce added savings?
  • Answer: The COOW produces added savings by:
    • Consolidating warehousing services and more into one country of origin facility, at a cheaper cost than in the West.
    • Performing large and complex vendor compliance without shipping all the way to US/EU.
    • Shipping directly to the ultimate recipient. By not sending your goods back and forth across the ocean needlessly, we are able to cut redundant freight costs. 
    • Taking advantage of our shipper’s global injection points. This means your goods arrive closer to the ultimate recipient, and incur only local delivery costs instead of transnational costs. 

• Question: Is this method really much different from the way we did things before?
  • Answer: Whether the product is going from The COOW to regions in Asia, USA, Europe or beyond, taking this holistic view allows us to ship directly to retailer hubs, outlets, or even consumers! This game-changing method is so disruptive that it cuts out a full step of the process. As a result, we see savings commensurate with such a fundamental change.

It is quite simple, by using COOW less resources are expended redundantly hauling goods back-and-forth across the globe. Instead, goods more directly find their way to their final destinations.
